Teeth!

TEETH have been the subject all conversation at our house for the past week.  Drew has tooth #7 in and is working on #8.  HOLY COW!  And I had my wisdom teeth taken out Thursday.  Never had any wisdom teeth until I had a baby.  Crazy what having a baby can do!  It was a busy week trying to get everything ready to be out of commission for a few days.  Kevin played nurse and had full Daddy Duty!  He did a great job taking care of us both.   When I finally woke up Saturday I had a new washer and dryer installed, a garden planted and lots of other odd jobs around the house done.  Kevin is not crazy about being homebound and gets extremely stir crazy if he is stuck inside.  I have to say it was AWESOME having him home to take care of me and get so much done!!  I am back at work today and thankful for an easy recovery so far.

As you may have heard Saturday was a stormy day in Mississippi with a deadly tornado tearing across our state.  It came through about 30 miles north of our house.  We have seen some horrible devastation and heard the tragic stories of love ones lost.  We were thankful that we were not affected by the storm, but ask you to keep our neighbors in your prayers as they begin the long recovery process.  A special thanks to all of you who called or emailed to check on us.

The weather cleared and Sunday we were able to make it church for one of our favorite services of the year, Church on the Grounds.  We worship at a Methodist church in downtown Jackson only steps from the state capitol.  Each year we celebrate the start of spring with an old fashion service and lunch on the grounds of the capitol.  Always wonderful to worship outside and see all of God's wonderful creations in full bloom.  It is especially fun for the children and Drew had a great time.  Below are a few of the pictures from the day.

Hanging out with Dad. Loving being outside.

Drew and Rachel Wiygul.
Drew LOVES Rachel!
FOR THE RECORD Kevin put the hat on like this and took the picture!  Not exactly how it should fit...LOL

Playing with Joe-Joe.
Drew and Joe go to school together and we have been friends with Joe's parents since law school.
Joe-Joe always takes care of Drew!  This was an in depth conversation about how spiderman drives his ATV.  Drew appeared to understand everything Joe-Joe said.  Too cute.

Drew with Catherine and Rachel Wiygul.

Last, but not least, this picture is of our nephew, Jace Autrey.  Jace broke his foot a week or so ago and sent a picture of his beautiful LIME green cast.
