The start of 2010 has been quite busy in our house. Jackson, Mississippi has not weathered the unusually cold weather very well. With lows in the teens and single digit wind chills we southerners don't know what to do. Last Tuesday as pipes began to thaw more than 160 water lines in Jackson burst. This meant no water, no bathrooms and NO DAYCARE! My office was also affected and we had the added drama of no heat. Needless to say downtown was not a pleasant place to be. So we did what any good southerner knows to do, we evacuated. We had planned to go to Georgia last weekend so we packed up and went a few days early.
Once again Drew was an exceptional traveler. He really just loves to ride and entertain himself. It is a long trip, but he just sits back and rides. We enjoyed seeing Nana and Granddaddy, who of course loved showing him off to all their friends. Aunt Julie, Uncle Ed, Jackson and Jace came for the weekend. We were able to see the Griners, the Vickers and even go to the Hicks Family Reunion in Tallahassee. It was a wonderful visit.
We were ALL 3 glad to see the daycare re-open on Tuesday. Drew was ecstatic to see all his friends. Kevin said he leapt out of his arms to the teacher. It is such a blessing to have a daycare your child loves. He is headed to the doctor today for shots and a cold. He won't be happy tonight, but this too shall pass.
Playtime with Nana...He now claps his hands and expects someone to sing Patty Cake!
Loves his Carhart's and visiting the Griners
Now I have 2 boys in my house who think we need a farm and farm toys!
Drew can't get enough of his Aunt Julie. He knows she is a softie and will jump every time he makes a noise. She gave him a toy cell phone for Christmas so he could practice calling her...LOL
Drew and Jace have a special bond.
He wasn't sure what to think of John, that is until he let him wear his hat.

the pics Alison did are beautiful.
