Dressed and ready to sing in church!
Someone told me once children's sermons and children's choir performances are nothing more than a catalyst for parents prayers lives. They were right. Drew did great and sang "Rejoice, Rejoice" cuter than ever. He loves the cherub choir and we are so blessed to have Caryl Summurall and Christine Knupp to lead it.
Visiting Arkansas
After 17 months we finally took Owen to visit family and friends in Arkansas. We spent Friday afternoon visiting Diane Ayres and were so excited that Jane Nixon was able to join us. Even better her granddaughter, Jennifer, and as Jane reminds us "my oldest friend" was able to join us as well. We shared a wonderful dinner and then cookies and ice cream. It is so wonderful to share my children with two women who helped shape my life. Love them so much.Drew had a great time seeing everyone. Some serious drum playing and singing going on. From what I hear their dad had this same "home band" talent in his youth with his sisters, maybe we will have the next boy band!
Spring Time Fun
This is how we spend most of our evenings - dinner and baseball. We are not far from having to erect a netting system over our back fence. At this point about every third ball goes over. Good thing this year is Drew has a pretty good ball boy in his little brother. First Tball game of the season is Saturday and we are excited. He loves ball.Surprise Circus Trip
Two Fridays ago my friend, Rebekah, and I decided to surprise our boys with a trip to the circus. Drew had no idea until we got to school and I told him he didn't have to stay. We met Harrison and Rebekah at Primo's for breakfast and then gave the boys surprise envelopes that had their names on a circus ticket. They were beyond excited - and even more excited when we told them we were going RIGHT NOW! So much fun. We had a blast.
