Although we have had a much different Thanksgiving than in years past - it has been good. We missed our trip to Georgia. This would have been my 10th year going home with Kevin for Thanksgiving which is pretty hard to believe. If you had told me 10 years ago when we were "just friends" that I would be making the trip every year for ten years and that our family would be a family of 4 I would have never believed you. Thank goodness God has a plan for us and doesn't leave us to our own plans. We are so very thankful for all we have been given.
Drew had a great time at his Thanksgiving lunch at school. He and his classmates were pilgrims. Kevin kept Owen so that I was able to go. It was a good lunch and nice trip out of the house.
Owen is growing every day - he is eating a lot! He hasn't quite mastered the art of extended sleep at night, but we have a routine that is working so no complaints here. My mom was able to make the trip to Jackson for the weekend which was a great surprise. She took the midnight feeding shift last night and I was able to sleep all night for the first time since about August!
Since Granny was coming to help out Kevin decided Drew was in need of a play day. They headed hunting and Drew was so excited. He told me no less than 20 times that he was going deer hunting and then explained why Owen was too little to go. He had a blast. No deers were killed, but apparently napping on a pallet in the back of the truck, eating a picnic lunch and wearing boots and overalls like Dad is enough to make any kid have a great day of hunting!
