Can you believe Drew is old enough to play soccer?!? He is really getting big. We started fall soccer two weeks ago and it has been pretty hysterical to watch 3 year olds who have never played an organized sport. Hard to explain defense and "stealing" the ball when they have been ingrained with sharing for 3 years! We were very lucky to "stack" our team with all our friends. You will recognize most of the boys on the team. There are 7 on the team and you put 3 boys on the field at the same time. Sounds reasonable enough. However, when only 3 of the 7 will actually go on the field it doesn't exactly allow for a lot of rest time. Drew has done well. Kevin has been helping coach and has done great with the boys. Drew loves having Kevin there with him to play. There is no score keeping and no goalie so no real way to tell who won and lost, but Drew considers it a win if he gets a snack and gets to "high five" after the game. He did score the first goal (in the correct goal I might add) for his team at the first game. He is loving it so that is all that matters.
As a side note, all is well with (yet to be named) baby #2. Last week they estimated he was 5lbs 8ozs. He is set to arrive on November 2nd and we are keeping our fingers crossed he will stay put til then. I am not moving very fast these days, but feeling good. Ready to meet this sweet baby!
