We enjoyed our annual week in South Georgia for Thanksgiving. It is a long trip with two little ones, but they agree it is well worth it for a week on the farm and being spoiled by family. It was a week of family time and a little bittersweet as it is pretty likely that the house we have gone to for the past 10 years will be hopefully in the hands of a new loving owner. It has been an amazing place for our family that will always hold a special place in our hearts. A lot of firsts there. But it is just a house and it is family time that as made it so special. We look forward to some new traditions and adventures in the next place God takes Nana and Grandaddy.
Before we headed out we got to eat lunch with our little Indian at the annual Thanksgiving lunch. He wasn't too sure about the cranberry sauce, but anywhere that Mr. David goes to play music is pretty fun in his book.
Playing, playing and more playing. We got some good time in with Jace this year as Aunt Julie and Jackson headed to Philadelphia, PA to march with the Colquitt County band. Getting ready to go to the square Thanksgiving night just wasn't the same. But the boys enjoyed every minute of outdoor time. Drew loves working - a lot like his daddy. I don't think one piece of dirt or driveway went unswept or unracked.
We sure were glad to get to hug on this guy...and I don't mean Santa! Mr. Eddie has had some challenges this year and it was great to see his smiling face.
When I got back and looked at the pics I laughed. A few years ago it was "the kids on their computers and phones all the time" and now Nana is thinking that ipad is pretty fun.
