"O"vember

"O"vember, not to be confused with November was all about Owen.  How in the world can my baby be 4!?!?!  In true Owen style he didn't pick Chuck E Cheese or Pump It Up or anything mainstream for his celebration.  Instead we celebrated with a ROCKSTAR party - rope lines, stage and all.  He is after all our Rockstar.  His smile is contagious.  He is goes 100 mph and then crashes hard.   Everyone loves him and he lights up a room.  He could care less what others think and has no need to compete for attention.  He is Owen and nothing else matters.  His favorite food (which he picked for his birthday dinner) is sushi, but apples and goldfish and chicken fries (i.e. french fries) are all on the top of the list.  We have learned that putting a color or marker in his hand is one of the only things that makes him sit still. He loves to draw. He can't help but move to the music and can keep a beat better than most grown ups.  He has enjoyed singing in the choir at church and is still pressing for dance lessons.  Oh and yoga, he loves some yoga - at least for the first 5 minutes and then he is bored.  He kisses me every day and gives great hugs.  His love language is snuggles when he will sit still.  He loves his big brother so much that it drives Drew crazy most days, but his loyalty is unwavering.  He has promised me he doesn't like girls even though several moms in his class have informed me their little girl plans to marry Owen.  He loves to learn - except colors which he refused to learn so much so we took him to get tested for color blindness!  He's super special and I am so glad we get to watch him rock and roll every day - no matter how exhausting it can be.
